This has pushed DICE to disable the ability to earn XP from custom games and nerf the amount of XP gained in the All-Out Warfare game mode. This allows these players to level up much faster and gain access to better gear more quickly. Some users are exploiting the ability to create custom lobbies in Battlefield 2042 as they are using these lobbies to farm bots and players that are only able to equip knives to level up and gain XP. The current issue that DICE is issuing changes to combat is the large number of lobbies that players are creating in order to farm XP. This is quite a pressing issue considering that those who are able to play the game currently either preordered it or gained access to it via EA Play or Xbox Game Pass.
This seems to happen without warning either a few minutes into a multiplayer match or a few minutes before a match ends.
